Assemble the stud back components in this sequence after attaching the stud to the barrel:

1. Insert the blunt end of the stem into the long end of the barrel leaving the point of the stem exposed. 

2. Slide the spring onto the blunt end of the stem now in the barrel sliding the spring into the barrel.

3. Apply soft solder past of liquid flux and a small plug of tin solder to the open end of the sleeve. 

4. Slide the sleeve over the stud stem and apply heat, being careful to avoid overheating and damaging the spring.
